 kitchen.\n\nSimilarly, if you are NOT in the for-profit industry, your data
  governance may look significantly different than the one built for a Fortu
 ne 500 company. As a government agency serving the population of your state
 , your data governance program will depend on the main issues you are tryin
 g to tackle (data quality and sharing, anyone?), who is going to do it (IT 
 and data people pointing at each other), and … the taxpayers’ 
 money (I need a team of 10 to begin with).\n\nIn this session, we will dive
  into translating “What is out there on data governance” into &
 ldquo;What works for a state government on a limited budget with a micro te
 am.” The attendees will learn about:\n\n
 Leveraging existing data management in the agency to kick off data governan
 ce;\n
 Blueprint of a data governance program for a mid-sized state government age
 ncy: people, structure, and data confidentiality; and\n
 Data governance advocacy continuum (i.e., how to involve everyone you need 
 without them feeling you are adding just another project to their list).\n\
